August is an ending, a reckoning, a coming to terms with what was and will be.*

cleaning your ear with a Q-tip
being among your people
rediscovering an old CD and still loving the songs on it
reviving your vegetarianism
havdalah

having the village it takes

beginning a new book and being instantly hooked
John Mellencamp on the radio
feeling ageless
registering for a Kathy Fish flash workshop
an acceptance from a bucket list pub

long farewells

walking someone home
crying in a car ride away from somewhere you love
sidewalk chalk
reaching the end of the laundry pile

a long drive with loud music

a good haircut
package deliveries
family reunions
when everyone looks up at the sky at once
homemade cards
pants that fit perfectly
errands in the evening
exploring an amusement park through your kids’ eyes
chocolate peanut butter ice cream
a family hike

the start of a new school year

a blog redesign
this love story
nearing inbox zero

Love your blog!!! Not even sure how I found it – but I am going thru cancer treatment now and your “attitude of gratitude” is exactly how I feel. It’s the little things that are most meaningful!!! I look forward to your posts !
    Thank you !!!
